The night in 1982 when I heard music that was the exact sound/feel that I wanted but I didn't know where to find it. All the rest since - from my first show in '84 to seeing the last five nights of the NJ stand in '99 to standing at the corner of E Street and Tenth Ave. in Belmar to being elbows on the stage 6 feet from Bruce's mic...that's all just an echo of what happened the night I heard Born to Run when I was 16.

Last year I discovered the bootleg of the first concert I went to: at Seneca College in December 1975.
And, for the last year and a half, I've been listening to boots of shows over the last 30 years.
It's been a great experience and really enhanced my appreciation of the live shows.
If anyone has Buffalo 1980, I'd love to hear it.

Vegas, May 2000. I was 10th row, dead centre. Bruce does his grab-the-mic-stand, slowly-rise-up thing. He was staring right into my eyes the entire time. It was a hyp-mo-tyzing moment for both of us.
